During Holzmann Family Fun Weeks, our family reunions, we do a 1000-piece puzzle almost every night. We find that fitting puzzle pieces together, slowly creating order from chaos, is not only immensely satisfying, but it brings family members together so we can talk.
If you need something to do at a gathering with the extended family, a puzzle can be a great ice breaker: intellectually stimulating enough that silences don’t seem too awkward, but not so engrossing that conversation stops.
Or maybe your children need something to keep them calm while you read; puzzles offer an excellent option to keep hands busy while ears listen.
Sonlight offers three excellent (and educational!) options.
